Reporting an error
Accuracy matters more to us than anything else, and reader reports are one of our most important safeguards. To help us check and fix a mistake quickly, please include:
- the headline of the article, or its link;
- the exact sentence or passage you believe is wrong;
- what the correct information is;
- a source that supports the correction — ideally a primary source such as an official document, or a report from a reputable news organization;
- whether you are directly involved, for example if you or your organization is named in the article.
Send it to [email protected]. If we confirm the error, we correct the article, add a dated correction note, and list it on our corrections page.

We don't do original reporting
The Wells Post is an automated newsroom that works from published reporting. We can’t investigate individual cases, conduct interviews or protect confidential sources, so please don’t send us news tips, leaked documents or other sensitive material.
- We can’t give personal advice. We’re not able to help with individual legal, medical, financial or voting questions. For voting information, your election office and vote.gov are the best sources.
- Newsletter. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. If it doesn’t work for you, write to us and we’ll remove you.
- Reporting an ad. If an ad on our site seems misleading, offensive or harmful, send a screenshot and the address of the page to [email protected].
