These terms of use govern your use of The Wells Post — the website at thewellspost.com, its RSS feeds and its email newsletter — which is published by The Wells Post Media (“we,” “us” or “our”). By using the site you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

The Wells Post is a free, advertising-supported news and opinion publication with a progressive perspective. Its articles are produced by an automated newsroom that uses artificial intelligence, as described in our AI policy.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We don’t guarantee that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Ads on our site are supplied by third parties, mainly through Google. We aren’t responsible for advertisers’ products, services or claims, and an ad is not an endorsement. Our newsletter is free. By subscribing and confirming your address, you agree to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. We may change how often it is sent, or stop sending it.

If you send us feedback, suggestions or corrections, you agree that we may use them to improve our journalism and our service, without any obligation to you. Because we are an automated newsroom, we don’t commission freelance work or act on confidential tips, so please don’t send us unpublished work you want paid for or confidential material.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and all of its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

To the extent permitted by law, if you use the site in breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, that we incur as a result of claims by others.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the publisher is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising from these terms or your use of the site will be heard by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

These terms, together with our privacy policy and the policies they refer to, are the entire agreement between you and us about the site. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor publisher of The Wells Post.
